Hacker Alert

On the 8. Nov 2024 (after hours) my elderly mother was ****med. She paid R20,000 out of her Absa Credit Card *** into the account of a 'friend' at Capitec. Savings Account no:*** She was informed by the actual friend that he had been hacked and that he had not requested money. The next morning at 9am she went to her local branch to report the *****. The personnel called the ***** line and my mom was told that everything was going to be ok, as the payment was not an immediate payment and that the transfer could still be stopped. Case number: ASZA-2***8 To date, no funds have been returned to my mom.
