Goodbye ABSA
After 25 years with ABSA, I am very sad to say goodbye to you. The last few years, I have just experienced such poor service and the ongoing ***** on my credit card accounts is just unbelievable.
With the 2 times this year that I have been de*****ed, I have battled to, 1. actually report the case (took me more than an hour on 3 lines to report) 2. Get a valid case number (they log a complaint case and before, ***** numbers that do not even exist) 3. While I’m on the phone and the transactions are being done, ABSA can’t reverse it immediately. Really? I have informed and shown ABSA that I do not use my credit card for any online transactions ever. Also, when I use it in stores (swiping it) it never leaves my hands (due to all the ***** I have experienced). Yet, it still happens! I even went into ABSA over the weekend to explain the ongoing problems, which I believe is internal on the ***** side. That’s now probably (again) forgotten, as I’ve received my R18k back…just for it to happen again. I’ve been a private banking client for the last 5 years, but since my wonderful account manager left (2 years ago), my banker is null on a contract. No assistance of guidance from her. Eish! Furthermore, ABSA don’t connect/link all my accounts when I get new cards. Also they want me to go to the branch to collect and the next moment they deliver another one. Whats happening internally ABSA? Lastly, with regards to private banking – ABSA is dropping this service at the branches left right and centre. Clearwater – gone, Cresta – gone (and when I ask at Cresta they say…go to Clearwater)…huh? thats happning internally ABSA? I’ve paid off 2 study loans (Pre and post degrees), I’ve paid of my first ever car (Cliffy)…we’ve surely walked a path, but it seems like internally things are just not the same anymore. I should’ve known then I couldn’t get a 100% home loan from ABSA after getting married…aai jaai jaai… Dear ABSA, keep well – good luck, but today – you’re losing this client! Today, not tomorrow, not forever…Going, going, gone! #tip:checkyourinternalsfor***** #tip:checkyourinternalprocesses #tip:informyouremployees #tip:doesprivatebankingreallyexist
