Getting passed from one department to the other

On 17 March 2016 I paid the total outstandingon my credit card.I then called into the credit card depart.on the 24 March and after waiting about 20mins I finally got transferred to Molebeng.I told her that I want to close the account.she then told me that in order to close this account I have to paid an amount for interest in addition to the amount I already paid and then I should wait for the collections depart. to call me in 5 working days as she has to send the account to the collects depart.and they only can close the account. she also confirmed that the account is \ON HOLD\". at that stage I couldn't understand why I should paid an interest when I have a positive amount on my account. but I made the payment the same day as I just want to close this account. now while waiting for the collects dep. to call me I get an account from absa CC for bank charges. meaning that the account is not on hold.I call the number for the collects department who now tell me that Molebogend was suppose to sent the acc to the retention depart.now I must wait 7working days for them to call me. why cant they just close the account now as I don't owe them anything. in fact they owe me money now!"
