Garage Card collection

ABSA phoned me to initiate delivery of my family's garage cards. <br> I will need to sign for delivery and activate the cards at ATM (with pin) or visit a branch.<br> Fair enough.<br> I received the cards and today I set off to ABSA at OR Tambo airport. <br> Once I got attended too, the clerk told me that garage cards don't need to be activated. I pointed out that even the accompanying letter indicated activation. The clerk phoned the card division and they confirmed that no activation is required.<br> That's an hour of my life wasted, never-mind the wishy-washy security. I thought the activation bit was at least decent security.<br> Here's holding thumbs that the cards are actually active when we get to use them. <br>
