Frustrated client incorrect charges!
Absa debited me an amount with a reference journal debit SAS wdl fee cor. I received no notification firstly. Secondly this is an unauthorized deduction because I don't even know what the hell it's for? Nor was I made aware of it before or after. Thank God for internet banking or I would not have known about this! Now my account is in a negative? Like wth guys! I don't even know what this is for. You could have called, sms'd, emailed or some sort of communication would have been nice! I want you to investigate this and send me a damn email as to what this was for! I want all charges refunded ASAP.

The matter regarding the unknown fee on the account was investigated and we advise that the fee is a correction of the technical issue the bank experienced in the past weeks. Due to a technical issue, some Saswitch ATM cash withdrawals were incorrectly processed as point-of-sale cash withdrawals on your account between 01 May and 15 July 2024. The issue has now been resolved and your account was updated with the correct fees on 16/07/2024. Please do let us know if there is anything further you would like us to assist you with regarding this matter. Our office will close the case if we do not hear from you by 18/07/2024. Once again, we extend our unconditional apology for the inconvenience that may have been caused as this is not aligned with Absa Bank's service theme of customer-centricity. I received this sms last night. I also contacted the call center and was advised of this however upon investigation the agent could not find a withdrawal for this amount in my transactions. Please look into this. When did R80 get withdrawn and was not taken from my balance. I want dates so that I can cross reference this on my bank statement. Today's it's R80 tomorow you can say it's a R1000 hence I want proof of this. Thanks
