************ from Employee unacceptable
Bad service. ************ from security.
As a customer of Absa I went into Steve Biko branch to say thanks for helping me for my trip to Durban. As I was parked outside the branch and having a smoke. Security comes to me very hostile and tells me to “***of”. I tell the guy that that is not the right way to talk to civilians before being a customer at Absa. Heh tells me he will ruin my day and I move behind the car and finish my smoke and I went back inside the car and sat there while waiting for my partner to withdraw money from Standard Bank ATM. When my partner approaches the car he goes inside the bank and asks one of the employees to talk to me about moving. One employer who’s male, comes to me and says “these guys have a problem with you” I then tell the ABSA employee that “this guy has a problem” while pointing at him. he violently attacks me by shoving me and says I should not point at him. I asked whether he wants to shoot because he had one hand on his pistol. I then tell him that he’s wrong to intimidate a civilian let alone a customer. He shoves me again while my partner tries to brake the argument. I leave infuriated as to how ABSA security can go about telling people he will shoot them if they don’t comply to his violent request. My partner went back to find out what happened and he **** to her saying there’s an operation of moving money which he never mentioned to me prior the whole situation.
I left the area very angry and infuriated about how I was man-handled by him and curses he said to me. I am not happy at all and don’t understand whether ABSA coaches their security to be as hostile. There’s no way an employee can intimidate a South African citizen the way he did.
The guy is short and has tribal marks on his face.
