I had a problem with Absa and their debichecks. A broker from old mutual spoke to me regarding a policy. I told him im interested, so he decided to do debichecks but i told him im not going to approve it wait till January 2025. That was in November, cause i feel its too early. In November the broker sends me debichecks to approve but i told him no i dont want to . In november the 1st debicheck which i did not approve went off. Luckily i transferred my money in another account. When enquire absa consultant told me there is 3 debichecks that was approved. After investigation a guy phoned me and said Old Mutual can approve debichecks on behalf of me and when used my debit card in that time its automaitcally approved. How the hell can that be. Ok he assist me in suspend the debicheks. Come this mount a debit order of 1000 rand which i did not authorized was done on my account by old mutual. THe 5 of January i contact the broker to cancell but still. Who gave absa the go ahead to authorized the debit. They must please look into my account and contact me asap.
