i opened a cheque account with absa early this year. My plan was t move my salary to them but i wanted to see their service first ( turns out my instincts were correct about them ). i stop using the card as the charges where ridiculous, few months down the line i get a call from MDB threatening me about money that i owe Absa.

we reached an agreement that i pay Absa the R700 and something which they say i owe them then the account will be closed. We arranged that i pay the money via installments of R300. i paid in July R300 then in August R500 which makes it R800.

i went to absa to check the status of the account, to my surprise i find out that i need to pay R354 if i want the account to be closed. where is the R824 that i paid? why am i paying you money like i took some credit with you guy.

you are ********** i hate myself for even walking into your bank thinking i am doing the right thing. now you are ruining my credit profile like i took some money from you guys.

i will make sure i warn everyone i know about ABSA BANK.
