***** with ABSA Accounts

If you bank with ABSA, BEWARE.

Faud on your accounts is blamed by ABSA on the client.

I've already had ***** on my private banking current account, which ABSA SAYS WAS MY FAULT, EXCEPT THEY CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW THE ********** ACCESSED MY SON'S PROFILE BUT PAID BENEFICIARIES ON MY ACCOUNT, (REMEMBER I CANNOT ACCESS BENEFICIERIES ON MY SON'S ACCOUNT, BUT THE ********* MANAGED TO DO THIS). SEEMS FISHY. WELL YOU'RE RIGHT. I THINK IT WAS SOMEONE WHO KNEW SOMEONE, (MOST PROBABLY AN ABSA EMPLOYEE).

I'M ABOUT TO GET FURTHER LEGAL ADVISE, but ....

THE SAGA DOESN'T END THERE. Two days ago I've had ***** on my Barclaycard. YOU GET IT, IT'S A CARD ADMINISTERED BY ABSA.

WELL this is the third time there is ***** on my card. Twice on my own card and once on my wife's card. Each time I have to pay to replace the card. This time, two ********** transactions on my current card. The same on a previous occasion and also two, or three transactions on my wife's card, which is linked to my card and each and every time No OTP received to authorise the transaction.

SO HOW WAS IT AUTHORISED? ALL OF THEM WERE INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS. SO HOW WAS THE OTP SECURITY SYSTEM OVER-RIDDEN? I HAVE MY SUSPICIONS, BUT YOU, THE READER CAN DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSION.

AS I SAID, EACH TIME I WAS INCONVENIENCED.

EACH TIME I HAD TO WAIT 5 TO 10 DAYS FOR A NEW CARD.

EACH TIME I HAD TO GO TO THE BANK TO FETCH THE NEW CARD. (FNB DELIVER THE CARD RIGHT TO MY DOOR).

MORE IMPORTANTLY, EACH TIME THE MODUS OPERANDI FOR THE ***** WAS EXACTLY THE SAME.

IT'S OBVIOUS. ABSA HAS A MASSIVE PROBLEM WITH *****, SO BEWARE IF YOU HAVE AN ABSA, A BARCLAYCARD, OR A VIRGIN MONEY CARD

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Dear Claudette, What a lame excuse, but typical of ABSA. ANYHOW I have decided to use an attorney specialised in internet banking ***** to subopeana ABSA TO PROVIDE MORE DETEAIL OF THEIR INVESTIGATION. Something they wouldn't give the client, as there are too many questions that remain unresolved.
