***** OF UNAUTHORIZED DEBIT ORDERS

I've had an unauthorized debit order coming out of my account for two months in a row now. October by easy debit (R95.00) and this month by Jeremi Debruim (R99.00). I tried to reverse the October debit order online but I could and went to the bank and I was charged to reverse that that debit order. Today I called the call center to reverse the R99.00 and they put me through the online banking number and they guy couldn't help either. He said he is unable to reverse debit order because its unauthorized and doesn't not appear on my list of debit orders. Then I asked him why on their site (https://www.absa.co.za/media-centre/press-statements/online-tool-helps-you-reverse-unauthorised-debit-orders/) they say they have a solution to reverse unauthorized debit order while we cant. It means whatever they wrote on that site its a **** since they only allow you to reverve debit orders that are loaded on your account, therefore they allow people to reverse debit orders that are authorized since they are loaded to the system. I asked the online banking guy couple of questions and the only thing he said to me was since the calls are being recorded they might do something about as they listen to the calls. WHAT IS THAT!!!!!

Please reverse this debit order immediately. I strongly refuse to pay another amount to reverse the debit and I feel not safe anymore to bank with Absa! You said the option is available and free, why must I now.

I have experienced the same thing again this month and tried to call Centurion branch and didn't go through. Then I called the Absa Internet banking call centre hoping this time the service will be different from the previous one but I guess I was expecting too much. My phone was dropped while waiting for the agent to check something for me. Now I don't know what to do anymore. I'm still waiting for my refund that I was charged by Absa when they reversed the first unauthorised debit. Maybe I must consider closing my account and open a new one
