***** CASE SWEPT UNDER THE RUG

I contacted the Absa transactional ***** team in towards the middle of December 2019 to report a case of *****. They admitted that the individual whose details I have reported is a client of theirs. I sent through the case number from SAPS along with numerous other documents and information I obtained through a private individual on their client in order to assist with the case. Since December I have received numerous emails from Absa telling me I never sent the case number and documents. I resent them. I then get an email telling me this is a ***** matter and I must approach the SAPS . I KNOW ITS ***** THAT'S WHY I CONTACTED ABSA AND ALREADY SENT YOU THE CASE NUMBER !!! Shortly after this I contacted the same number at Absa and ask to speak to a supervisor, the supervisor handed me off immediately to the action line instead of dealing with the matter. I then spoke with another individual at Absa who assured me she would get back to me, and never did. So I phoned again and got through to a different person and the same promise was made and again nothing happened, this has now continued in the same manner with 3/4 different people. I now get told that the close is closed and it isn't a ***** matter it is now a civil matter between myself and the *********, this after the numerous emails from ABSA telling me it is *****, I should report it as ***** and then still receiving an email stating that it is a ***** matter and I must get a case number. DOES ANYONE AT ABSA KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS? I was told by your own staff member that the account of your client has been placed on hold pending a ***** investigation, this was in December, what's happened since then? NOTHING!!!

I am beyond stunned at the lack of response and the sheer display of incompetence . Can someone at ABSA actually get hold of me and do what they say they will.

Hi Daphne

I am quite surprised that you would simply copy the exact same response that you sent to me on Facebook at 15:50 pm today. I am still waiting for the apparent feedback I was supposed to receive an hour from that post. All you've done here is further delay any sort of actual outcome. You are now the 6th or so person this week to promise me a resolution and so far nothing. I have spoken with Daisy Thokwane, Martin, Heather Berman, Judith Poo, Phumzile and yourself. Surely if none of you can keep to the promises you make how do you expect me to believe a thing that comes out of anyone's mouth at ABSA. You are all doing serious damage to the credibility of your brand and the trust level that an individual can place in ABSA as a banking institution and furthermore the competency of the ***** division of ABSA. I am not surprised at the low level of confidence that 13282 other reviewers on Hello Peter have in ABSA. WHEN WILL SOMETHING ACTUALLY BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS ?
