The Cash send service from Absa is not safe and efficient because I have had two experiences where there was a delay in receiving the voucher and on both occasions it was an emergency...Absa on both occasions was notified and that's how I eventually got the funds. If Absa is well aware of the delays why are they not fixing it for their customers?

The latest fail is the money transfer service through PEP Stores, where people can withdraw the money just minutes after you send it. This was experienced by my parents, first my mom when she sent money then it was withdrawn but not by the intended recipient. My father then tried again and the same happened. The main reason why people use these methods is because they don't trust banks, the convenience of not using a bank card and saving on bank charges and having money during emergency situations.

There is no follow-up from PEP and no way forward as to how to recover the funds or what processes to follow because no one has money lying around for ********** to take. The service is not safe and convenient as it is meant to be if we are left to be victims of *****.
