***** AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ABSA
Good day. I sure hope you can assist me. I have recently withdrawn R2000 from entrance 5 at Gateway ABSA ATM (27 April 2016). The same time I received an sms notification indicating I withdrew R2000.00. The next morning at 7am while driving I received another sms notification indicating I had just withdrawn another R2000.00 (28 April). I immediately contacted Absa ***** department (8am) and blocked my card. I then went into the branch and spoke to consultant Rackchana. She was most unfriendly and unsympathetic. Anyway I was told I need to follow protocol and go the police station and open a case, get a case number etc. Same was done on Thursday and on Friday I received an sms indicating they acknowledgement receipt of my debit card claim ***. Rackchana had given me the ***** dept number and asked me to keep calling to check progress of the claim. I phoned yesterday only to be given the run around and nobody at the Absa call centre could assist. Eventually at 2pm I spoke to a lady who was kind enough to tell me to contact Derrick (***) who will be able to assist. I tried his number till the end of the day but it continued to go to voicemail. This morning by chance he did answer and told me the lady (Jazelle) who was handling my case had to go home yesterday becos she was not feeling well. He will however look through my case and call me in a hour. It is now 3 hours later no response. I tried calling again, no answer (same as yesterday). I am highly upset and disturbed with this poor service, and now after this incident has happened to ME, and to so many other Absa bankers out there, I am almost certain that it is Absa and not some highly trained ***** hacker that is doing this. Please help me get my hard earned money back. This disturbing service from Absa is most upsetting and definitely makes me want to go back to Nedbank whom I banked with for 16 years without any problems like this!!!
