Fixing a leaking roof by painting the ceiling

<p>I lodged a claim in March 2017 about my leaking roof. TG Construction were appointed as the assessor and they came out to look at the damage on the 8th of March 2017. Our tenants just vacated the house and because it was empty we were starting to fix it up for the new tenants. We were painting the whole house inside and outside. The assessor came on the first day that the painters started. He was not happy that we started to paint the ceiling where it was damaged, although he was still able to see the water damage through the first coat of paint. He said rhyolite cannot be painted when it has water damage as it will crack and fall down so it will have to be replaced. The assessor climbed on the roof and looked at the areas where the damage started from. TG Construction sent 3 contractors to fix the problem in July 2017. They came in and painted my ceiling. They fixed nothing. I paid R500 for them to paint my 5m2 ceiling. They used 2l of paint. So when summer comes will it still rain on my ceiling? Will Absa come and paint it every summer?</p> <p> </p>
