FICA Department Incompetence
On 28 Nov 2015 I sent scanned copies of the required FICA documents to the email address provided online [Email Removed]
On 19 Jan 2016 I received an email requesting all the documents - so I sent the previous email with all the documents to the email address provided [Email Removed]
On 5 Feb 2016 I received a call from my branch (Heerengracht Ms G.A) requesting FICA documents. I explained that they had already been sent twice - and promptly sent her everything again.
On 25 Feb 2016 I received a call from a lady at FICA (from 011 509 400 made at 10h50) to verify all my details and confirm that my FICA status was now in order. I still joked what a relief it was to finally get this done.
This morning at around 10h00 on 29 Feb 2016 I discovered that all my accounts had been frozen - with no prior warning/notification via SMS, online or via email. It's month-end and I have urgent payments to process and debit orders that need to go through tomorrow. I spent the whole day on the phone repeatedly explaining my story to three different people at FICA. Despite promises of sorting it out and getting back to me \soon\" - no one bothered. This is unacceptable. Client for 28yrs."
