FEELING FINANCE ****** BY ABSA VEHICLE FINANCE
Good day
I would like to request your assistance in a predicament I am facing. I purchased a car in December 2018 and started to pay it in February 2019. The vehicle was financed for R244 756 Rands, and had a balloon payment of R77 000.00. In 2022 I experienced a financial crisis as I gave birth to a child who was born with special needs. I missed 3 months payment, then a company approached me in February 2023 promised me that they would get my interest as I was being overcharged, I agreed to this as it seemed like it would be a relief until I researched the company and noticed that they actually put me under debt review. At first I felt that they were genuine but couldn't understand why my payment term had increased to me being left with 44 months to pay. I requested that the agreement be terminated by an attorney. But now today I requested my statement as I am never sent any statement unless I request it, to my shock my payment term now says I am left with 34 months to pay and that my original term was 94 months. I only know that my term was 71 months with a balloon payment of R77 000.00 I was supposed to finish paying the car in 2025 January, but now ABSA says I owe them R229 000.00 ,how is this possible? What happened to all the money I have been paying?
