FEE INCREASE OF 16.25%

I have been a loyal client of ABSA for 38 years since when the bank still had another name. In January 2018 Absa found it good to increase the Monthly Account fee on my credit card from R43pm to R50pm. That's a 16,25% increase. Small Rand amount, but an increase to Absa's credit card Fee Revenue of 16,25%. This in a time when statistics indicate a 4,5% inflation rate (if we can believe that?). I was also not notified of the increase. Would it also be possible for Absa's employees to request a similar pay hike?

I think this increase was done in bad faith when everyone tries to keep inflation down and the public suffers to make ends meet.
