Faulty New ABSA Card

About 2 weeks ago, I received a call from the Sales division of ABSA offering me a credit card. This gentlman was so awesome, that I took the card. Card was delivered on Thursday 01 December 2016, and then about 5 minutes after the courier was there with me, the Call Centre called to advised that the card is not mine, even though it states my address on it. I apprecitaed it, but at the same time felt a bit disappointed, cause now someone else will get a card with my name and address details on it. The following day, my card was then delivered according to them. On Saturday 3 December 2016, I decided to use it by going to an ATM, and to my surprise I got error 50. Went into a shop to try and swipe, and their machine gave an error in the line of "faulty card/chip". Keep in mind, brand new card, never been used.

Called the call centre on 4 December 2016 and spoke to Matthew. He said that he have to log a service request and I will be given a call by Monday 5 December 2016. I asked for a reference number, and he advised that there is no reference number and that I must use his name as a reference. This to me is not a reference number, which tells me I'm still stucked where I am with no card. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
