Faulty ATM Inconvenience

I made use of the Absa ATM in Carlton Centre trying to make a deposit of R1000 to an account. The ATM accepted R900, however the last R100 did not go through as the ATM machine did not read it. The transaction then cancelled itself and did not return the R900. This deposit was of great importance and urgency as I need to make payment for rent. I spoke to a lady by the name of Rosie M - she would not pronounce it over the phone and simply spelled it out so I was not able to catch her surname correctly. I was told that a matter of this nature takes 2-3 working days to be resolved and this has heavily inconvenienced me as I have a deadline to meet for my rent. It should not be the case to wait 2-3 days to have my R900 returned. I need feedback urgently as it is a lot of money that needs to be paid as soon as possible.

I was also misinformed about how long this process would take to be resolved. The lady by the name of Rosie had told me 2-3 days then the lady at the branch by the name of Thoko told me 7-10 days. As you know I urgently need that money to complete my payment for rent and I told my landlord that I was informed it would take 2-3 days prior to going to the branch. My lights have been switched off because my deadline to complete payment was on Wednesday the 16th of November. Now that I was given different information regarding when this problem will be resolved, my landlord will take further steps to lock my unit until the payment is made. It is so important for ABSA’s employees to provide correct information as this is now an even greater inconvenience for me as there is a big difference from 2-3 days to 7-5 days, why was I misinformed?
