FastBuy settled vehicle Finance Account but never informed the Credit Bureau.
"In 2023 I lost my Job and before I could become in arrears with my vehicle payment, I opted for a Fastbuy option. The process was smooth and the consultant that assisted me throughout this process was very efficient and we could settle it fast. The deal got closed and the Vehicle and asset finance account got settled and I only had to pay a relatively small amount back.
Fast forward, its Feb 2024 and my credit report still reflect that I owe Absa the full outstanding amount on my Vehicle and asset finance account. Although the account at Absa reflects the correct amount, they never submitted updated documents to experian to update my credit record. Now I cant do **** because debt that has been dealt with still shows it hasn't been dealt with.
i tried contacting the vehicle and asset finance department and the numbers I am given to contact goes unanswered. The emails is no use as I have sent multiple and no one ever contacted me back with regards to it. "
This was the review I left in Feb 2024. I received a reply from ABSA Customer management with the name of Vanessa Crowe. After back and forth here on Hellopeter, she opted to email me and we continued the conversation.
Long story short, she informed me in March 2024 that they sent instruction to the legal department to send the relevant instructions to the credit bureau to update the amount owed. Its been almost 6 months and still I havent received any response from Vanessa Crowe with regards to this matter.
It has now been more than a year since I sold my car through Fastbuy and i regret doing it, because still my credit profile shows that I am in arrears yet the vehicloe has been sold and the money paid into the avaf account and my avaf account statement proves this.
I am beyond dissatisfied.
