My Dad is a pensioner, he went to the ATM in Marble hall to withdraw money. There was some assistant who appears to be security, after my Dad struggled to get the card in. eventually, the card went in, and there was no option of a pin request, so he canceled the transaction before continuing. The atm immediately swallowed t =he card. He went in to the bank to ask them to retrieve his card, and the bank assistant told him there was a R1000 missing. they send him to the police station, which he did, then back to the bank. this happened on 8th of November. Absa took that money, made false promises to assist my Dad to refund the money. and today is the 20th, and nothing has been done. This according to me i ***** from Absa, they dont care to help the elderly, they told him they would have a final answer for him on the 16th of November, and still not. That R1000 that went missing in his account, is from a pensioner who doesnt have any money. And Absa has no intention to help, or assist as this is ***** or an urgent matter that needed attention the day it happen. Marble hall ABSA is steeling from the elderly and getting away with it. this is absolutely poor service and *****.No help. pathetic for Absa.
