False Bank Notice of Payment SMS's

Although I complain here about Absa, this could apply to ALL Banks inclusive of my Bank Nedbank. I advertise a fridge on Market Place Facebook (exactly the same as what I've done many a time in the past when I sold items when we scaled down.. The method I use is/was to either get the cash in my hand or wait till I get my SMS Notice of Payment from the clients Bank, before I hand over the item(s). I never had a problem in the past. I do know, like anybody out there, that when the payment comes from a different Bank like it this case Absa to Nedbank THAT IT CAN TAKE BETWEEN 24 TO 48 HOURS BEFORE YOU SEE THE MONEY IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. Like in the past, I did receive the Absa SMS Notice of Payment (exactly like the real SMS!!!) but it was false. I duly hand over my fridge (guy even whatsApp his ID to me---probably of a deceased person) but the money never appear in my bank account. The concern really is how can the ********s do this as if they are the Bank? I took the matter up with the Absa ***** division, they referred me to Nedbank--I took it up with them and they just said I must go to the Police and do a affidavit and then let them (Nedbank) have the detail. I really will not discuss here the situation at the Police and the fact that they have no manpower to work on these cases AND the ********s know that as well. I want everybody out there to take note that they should never trust the so-called Bank Notice of Payment SMS's--work with cash (not safe!!!), instant EFT payments or just wait the 24 to 48 hours to see the money in your bank account. The Banks cannot just through the hands in the air to say they can't really do something---THEY CAN BY NOTIFYING ALL THEIR CLIENTS ACCORDINGLY Other ******** activities are also when they phone people as if they from the Bank and even sending the same note which you normally get when you do a payment where you have to click accept or decline. Because of my experience MUST I RATHER ACCEPT THAT THE ********S HAVE INFILTRATED THE BANKS OR EMPLOYEES WORK FORM WITHIN??
