False advertising: Student Silver Account

After re-reading the pamphlet almost three times in disbelief of the fortunes awaiting my second year at university with the "The Student Account that gives you what you want" for just R22.50 a month, I walked out of the Hatfield branch with a smile... Little did I know that when I tried to redeem my R20 McDonalds meal voucher and got notified that a SMS will be sent my way shortly with more details, I would still be awaiting my SMS 2 months later. So Thank You Absa for making me stand in a McDonalds for over an hour to pay full price for my meal anyway.

Absa gets a standing ovation for seeing the student struggles of not being able to afford the luxury of cinematic experiences. However, about 3 hours ago today - I decided to try out these "Great Deals" that I supposedly have to my access. But I am once again still awaiting that SMS. I guess I will not be seeing a movie anytime soon (by the way, only 2D movies - so good luck to students trying to use this one).

Does Absa hate me. Or... Is their definition of "shortly" something different to the one I'm taught. Sorry, but this Student Account is only benefitting me in terms of Unlimited cash withdrawals. Those selling points are False adverti*****t because neither my friends nor I (who all attribute to this type of account) can testify happily.
