I am a very unhappy client because what I experienced didn't happen in only one store but two stores spar at Jubilee Mall in hammanskraal and at Shoprite at Temba City complex. When I went to these shops to withdraw I was forced to buy something in order for me to withdraw funds, of which I feel like its a reap off from both Absa and these stores. So if I have only R100 in my account and really needed that R100, now I will not get it because I am suppose to buy something. Tjo, Absa. So I am paying R170.48 per month for nonexistence services. When I opened the account I was told that if I exhausted the 7 atm withdrawal I can go to pick 'n pay, shoprite or spar to withdraw to avoid extra charges. But, guess what? It is all a lie cause when I go to this retail stores I have to buy something even though I don't need to buy that something or have the money to buy it. Mxm what a waste, perhaps I should go to Capitec.

Further to that the stores that you are visiting are not telling you the truth because you can still make withdrawals without having to purchase anything, insist on speaking to their store manager.

Regarding the stores, I did speak to manager and he told me that is the rule and that the is nothing they can do about, hence I opt to raise this concern here. At the end of the day Absa is the one that advise these nice benefits. If you partners doesn't do things according to your agreements, Absa needs to speak address this with these store partners not me as a client.

At the end of the day Absa is the one that advise these nice benefits. If you partners doesn't do things according to your agreements, Absa needs to speak address this with these store partners not me as a client.
