Extremely Poor Service

I have been using Absa Idirect for years now although I had to cancel due to financial reasons, and rejoined recently. On Friday evening the 14 April 2017, I was involved in an accident just under William Nicol Dr when I was driving home on N1 South from Tembisa to Randburg. I immediately contacted Absa Idirect and the lady I spoke to was very helpful, arranged a tow truck which took my car to Dent Doctor in Randburg. The following week, I called in to register the claim. I was assisted with a courtecy car from the 19 April 2017. On the 24 April, I received an sms stating that my vehicle had been assessed, and that I could call the Assessor for any questions, although his phone just rang non stop with no answer.

I had been calling Absa Idirect every week to try and find out what the progress was on my car repairs, and everytime I called, I would be promised that someone would call me back which did not happen at all. I realized that my 30 days car rental days were coming to an end, and I called them again on a Monday the 15 May, spoke to a lady by the name of Gugu if I am not mistaken. I was very upset and she mentioned to me that she would get someone to call me back but i said to her that I wanted the name of that person because I received empty promises in the past weeks. She told me that Terence Morgan was the person responsible for my case, and he had been on leave hence no one contacted me. Truly Terence called me and asked for the vehicle inspection sheet which I emailed to him on the 16 May 2017. He still told me that Dent Doctor was going to start working on my car as he was going to give them an instruction to start the work.

On the 19 May 2017, the rental car was due to be returned and I spoke to Absa about that and they agreed to extend the rental until the 24 May 2017 but that was after I had to complain to their Complaints Department. On the 24 May, they completely refused to extend the rental, left me without the car. The Department Manager I spoke to is Michelle and after a lenghthy conversation we had, she told me that the reason the extended for five days was because they delayed, she admitted. I asked her that from the 24 April 2017 when the assessment was completed, how long would it take them to finalize the claim and her answer was that, it depends with the case/claim. Only on the 19 May, I started receiving messages from Dent Doctor, and on the 22 May, I received another message from them confirming that my vehicle was being stripped for repairs, the same week that Terence came back from leave. Michelle insisted on saying that the my case was alloacted to someone else during Terence's leave, why did I not receive even one call until he came back. Thisngs started to happen when Terence returned from leave.

I am currently stranded, asking for lifts to get to work because of Absa's delay. I would like to know how long was Terence Morgan on leave, who replaced him during his absence. Since the assessment was completed on the 24 April 2017, what happened between that time and the 15 May 2017 when i had to call in to find out. Absa did not on their own contact me, everytime it was me phoning in.

Hi Claudette,
My ID number is *** 086
Terence called me this afternoon and arranged a courtecy car for me with Avis but I realized that it's pointless for me to go and pay another holding fee of R1200.00 that will only be refunded next week. Why are they offering me the car now after they completely refuse to grant it to me last week. To me that sounds like admission of guilt. I had a terrible weekend, had to hire Uber to take me to do shopping, I also missed my brother's wedding because I couldn't have taken my 1 month old baby in taxis.
One day rental is more of an inconvenience to me, Michelle and Terence messed it up completely, and that's beyond repair
