Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Inconsiderate Service. PROTEA GLEN MALL BRANCH

We had an absolutely terrible experience at the ABSA Protea Glen Mall branch. We went there specifically to open a club account and arrived at 09:00 AM—only to be turned away without assistance. The staff had the audacity to tell us that we should have arrived at 08:00 AM to be helped, claiming the branch was “too full” to assist us. What makes this even worse is that there were no other customers in the branch at that time—only the three of us. So what exactly was the reason for turning us away? Laziness? Incompetence? Lack of willingness to do their jobs? We were forced to travel to another ABSA branch just to receive the basic service we expected. The Protea Glen branch showed no consideration, no professionalism, and no customer care whatsoever. It’s unacceptable that a bank can treat people like this, especially when we came prepared and on time. This branch is not only inconsiderate but completely unreliable when it comes to customer service. If you value your time and money, avoid ABSA Protea Glen Mall branch at all costs.
