Extremely bad service from Absa
I took out a homeloan in 2010 to buy a house in Pretoria, I have a debit order for payment every month since then. I now have a balance of R300k odd on the house until it's paid off. Last week someone was sent by Absa to evaluate the house, so upon questioning the person he stated that Absa sent him to evaluate the house saying it was in arrears. I'm currently in the Eastern Cape and my daughter stays in that house.
The evaluator gave the details to my daughter to phone Absa for further information, all the numbers we called are not being answered and if we get through, we are only put through to someone else who gives us the runaround. I have been a client of Absa for more than 50 years and this is the service and loyalty I get. I don't mind paying the arrears but it seems Absa is adamant in selling the house right from under me. All I require is the amount of arrears and where to pay but that is such a difficult task for Absa to do because they are on a cruel mission to sell and make money however they can and whoever they step on.
They failed to inform me of the arrears, I'm quiet sure that was their plan and they even refuse to assist in finding out the amount I owe.
Such cruelty and greediness.
