Extra Banking fees

Last month I went to close my absa accounts (saving and cheque) at centurion branch due to extremely high banking fees, they convinced me to stay with them and told me my banking fees are so high because my salary gets paid into my savings and not my cheque, so I need to change my salary to the cheque account then the cheque will only be R89 and the savings per transaction, which I did, this month my cheque account's banking fees (which are supposed to be R89) where more than R400! I will not pay this, my salary is not much, how do you explain this..... I would like for this to be sorted out, and close both those accounts. I shall not pay that amount as it is in arrears.
