My client’s (Jan Brand) wife passed away on 20 February 2020. They made a will with Absa Bank in which Will, Absa was indicated as Executors in the joint Estate. My client reported his wife’s death at the ***amas branch of Absa. Absa informed my client that the Estate is too small and that the bank is not interested in the administration of the Estate.

Since the advice, my client made various attempts to get Absa as far as to either report the Estate or alternatively do a renunciation of executorship.

My client needs to sell his house urgently and due to Absa’s negligence, no Executor has been appointed up to date. The above causes my client financial loss and we need an urgent report from Absa as well as their attention to this matter
