Estate accounts not paid out

On23 April 2015 the Executor had a letter delivered by registered post to the Estates department in Pretoria. The request was that the credits on nine accounts the Deceased held at the bank be paid into the Estate late account. The estate was of the late E J van der Merwe (Identity No *** 08 8). A reminder was sent on 25 August 2015. Both letter were ignored and to date no deposits were paid into the estate account to the total prejudice of the heir. As Executor there is a very real risk that the Master would terminate the appointment of the Executor because the estate cannot be finalised. And both the Deceased and heir were and is loyal customers of Absa. What a way to treat your clients.
