Hello Peter, Let me get straight to the point. My father took out a will with ABSA with auomatically made ABSA the executor of his estate. My father passed away on 16 DECEMBER 2020. A week after his death I went to Absa to report his death and did all necessary steps for them to initiate the execution of his estate. I received a call a week later to start the process of sending through his documents. A month later I called to enquire how far his estate is and could not get a clear answer. (I understood that its a huge institution with lots of clients). Another month again I called and as made aware that a person by the name Tanya Swart was appointed as the coordinator. I traced her and she explained that they will be starting the process soon. I kept on calling for 3 months in succession and Tanya kept on indicating that they are still busy. In May 2021 when I last spoke to Tanya she indicated that Master of high court has been hacked and they are not issuing letters of authority so the process was stuck. This reply continued for almost 4 months until Tanya stopped taking my calls and not responding to the emails that I sent to her to enquire about my fathers estate. In the process, debt collectors contacted me wanting to repossess my fathers Mercedes Benz because the instalment debit orders were bouncing. I alerted Absa about this issue and they did not care. I together with my siblings had to put money together to settle an amount of over R150000 of that vehicle because we couldn't let our fathers car to be taken away just like that. I have complained a lot on their social media platforms and a person by the name Vanessa Crowe handled my complain. Initially she was helpful but later ended up being like the rest of the Absa crew. In 2022 after many complains, only then was I told that their "agent" who does the runarounds to the master of high court is battling to get the letter of authority from Thohoyandou branch. I then told them that I will take the initiative to go to the master of high court in Thohoyandou to push them to send all the documents back to Absa.. Indeed I did that. The Masters office told me that ABSA only recently sent the documents requesting letter of authority. The officer at high court in Thohoyandou compiled all documents in my presence and showed me a copy of the letter of Authority that Sylvia Nokuthula Masimula has been appointed as the executor of Estate. The documents were sealed and dropped them at reception for courier pickup in my presence because he said he knows that Absa likes playing games so he wanted to make sure that i see that they have sent the documents back to ABSA. I took a picture of the courier parcel with waybill number and sent it via email to Vanessa Crowe, Mariaan Jacobs and Tanya Swart on the 14th November 2022. Since then I have not recieved any communication from ABSA. From 2020 to 2023 with no concrete communication, even after all the efforts I made to make their job easier. The bills that the deceased left behind are pilling up and I have ran-out of funds to cover the ones that I was able to in the past 2 years, They have really done us dirty and don't seem to care, all they think of is the profits. The municipal rates are pilling up as I can no longer pay for them like I have been doing so from 2021 January together with all the monies that we can't access to take care of my fathers house. I feel that *****ulent activities are being conducted regarding my fathers estate.
