endless payments on a vehicle for 13 years

I bought a vehicle in 2008 and although I had a bad patch in life , I went under debt review bounced back and still had a reduced payment of R650 a month , I paid this diligently up untill today , and still has a balance of R55000. I queried a amount of R90000 a couple of years back and received a total of R2500 which they said they made a mistake with.. I decided to use that as payments to create a payment break for me...I do not know why my total is still so high.just taking a look in my banking app from payments from September 2015 up until november 2019..I paid R26 950.00...where is the other years payments ...the first couple of years payments were full untill I joint debt review. Please help me understand as the car is old already, and it takes me more to fix too . Im a single parent of 3 children and is struggling...I need this account to be thoroughly reviewed again, last year you send a balance of R61000 and you admited you found a error...I think the error is bigger.
