Double deduction
My name is Nikiwe Nzima. Absa has done it again. This bank is a bundle of frustrations. I have been banking with absa since 2020, of late I seem to be encountering problems. This time Absa double charged me for a loan. On Friday the 14th of July 2023, money was paid for this loan as I expected it, but I was angry when they charged again for the same loan the following day which is 15th of July 2023. I called them, and they told me that personal loan division is not opened during weekends. It irritated me, because I had plans for that money, I get paid on the 15th and I wanted to use the money during the weekend. Monday early I called again, they checked my account and saw the mistake they made, though I could not understand why this happened because the amount of money deducted are not the same. The lady I spoke with assured me that my money will be returned into my account.
What's making me write now, is the nerve of Absa to call me today at 8 AM (18/07/2023) and TELL me I miss a payment and I need to explain myself. Just as I am starting my day, Really?? I am still expecting my money back. R 2763, 95 is a lot of money to me and I want it back. I am beyond angry. A very disappointed customer. Are they not suppose to check the account first to ensure that the person they call really owes them. I have my own problems, and I don't need to deal with untrained staff because when we firmly respond in truth, we get labelled as rude customers.
Now can the the Top guys, seated in Management for this bank, kindly respond to this madness and return my money. I want my money ABSA
