Dont use ABSA for Home Owner Insurance

During 2018 we experienced a type of tornado storm in Brandfort in the Free State. During the storm my neighbors garage roof and some bricks landed on my house roof . We experienced damage to the roof structure on part of the house and ceilings in my house sustained water damaged.

the matter was reported to ABSA Home Insurance. Their assessors was at our premises took photos and compiled a report. Since then they have informed us that they will only pay an amount of R 2500 for the damages. According to a building contractor the cost of repairing the damages will amount to R 35 000 . ABSA refuse to give us a copy of the assessor report or to discuss the matter. They do not respond to email correspondence. We have spend already over R 40 to try and have telephonic contact with them
