Dont fall for Absa loyalty program ****

I am absolutely furious at Absa Vehicle finance and their loyalty program, for lack of a better word "****". I was in an accident and my car was subsequently written of and my insurance then settled the car with Absa. Now this is why i am disgusted to say the least. On their settlement quote it clearly states that if i finance my new car from them that i qualify for a cash back of just over R14000. This played a part in me deciding to finance through them again. Who would not? Now after enquiring i was told that i do not qualify because the car was settled by my insurance and not me. What bull**** is that. What difference does it make who settled the account, as long as its settled right?? On Hello Peter i found someone complaining about a similar incident where she was told she did not apply to Absa herself, but the dealership did.
