Don’t ever open an absa account

2 weeks after applying online for a checking account at absa i finally go collect my card as I was out of town.so I go to the Fourways mall absa branch and they tell me that card has been closed as I took long to collect however they let me know that I can open one in branch…worst mistake of my entire life it took 55min just to open an account that takes 5 min online…after printing out my TymeBank statements as proof of residence the teller has the nerve to tell me I have to also print out another one from another bank as she’s not sure they accept TymeBank statement It’s 2022 there’s no way I should be in a bank for almost an hour opening an account.The worst first experience ever i in fact just want to close the account tomorrow I can only imagine how long that’ll take.choose std bank and Capitec over Absa anyday
