Does Africanacity mean ignoring your customers?

On 31 December 2020, I reported several instances of "Internet Banking Fees" being debited from my account in escalating increments of R2,50 per month, starting October 2020.

October 2020: R 2,50 (Internet Banking Fee) November 2020: R 5,00 (Internet Banking Fee) December 2020: R 7,50 (Internet Banking Fee)

As internet banking, mobile banking and cellphone banking is included in my "monthly charges", I requested the following:

- A full refund for the ****** funds - A cancellation of my ABSA Rewards Subscription

On 4 January I reported an additional R 4.00 listed under the same "Internet Banking Fees" description, and my case C-***4 was handed over to Lesley Harris, who only attended to the query surrounding the R 4,00. I am still to receive a refund on the rest of the funds, and I am still to receive confirmation that my ABSA Rewards has been cancelled. Lesley Harris is in the meantime ignoring all my mails (I've now sent 3 additional follow-ups).

I see on Hello Peter I'm not the only person being **********ly debited for Internet Banking Fees - your nonsense explanation that you've given to people of "drawing statements" won't work to try explain these charges, as drawing standard , non-archived statements is also included free of charge - I have screenshots of what's included in my package.

I'd suggest this is resolved before I start moving my entire portfolio to another bank.

This is wonderful. I don't get the bull**** line of "statements" that everyone else gets. I get the bull**** line of "we now charge for sending Proof of Payments" wow, ABSA. I have no words.

We refer to the complaint forwarded to our office regarding the charges debited from your account for Oct, Nov and Dec 2020 for Internet Fees.

Please be advised that the fees charges were for Proof of Payments sent via SMS and Email as per attached.

The Proof of Payments are not included under the monthly charges for your cheque account.
