DO NOT FINANCE WITH ABSA

I gave Absa a 1 star because i could not go lower, i had a vehicle financed with Absa and unlike other banks Std bank, Wesbank, Mfc, absa wants you to send them an insurance policy every year for the vehicle. So i did this for 3 years sent in my same insurance policy Nothing changed same insurance. This year I was out the country went on holiday i was sent the same routine email to send the same policy, unfortunately i was unable to do it in the two week window period and when i got back Absa debited an insurance premium from my bank account for an insurance they took out by themselves and bearing in mind my car is already insured. Is Absa for real why does all the other bigger banks not do this? Because its bad for business when banks conduct business like we living in the stone Ages. And to top things off Absa debited a premium for insurance for my car more than my current premium and also my current insurance is comprehensive I was told that Absa's insurance is not it only covers the bank for they loss. I am left speechless i settled the account and closed it out of sheer disgust, and will never deal with this bank again. I deal and have dealt with all the banks if you looking for finance go to Wesbank or Standard bank you will never go wrong. And now that my car was settled Absa bank consultants sit silently not bothering to give me my log book I had to phone several times and wait at least 15minutes for me to even get instructions about returning my logbook. I mean REALLY! You debit me for insurance I already have and then no action when the vehicles paid up? This is terrible I expect this sort of thing from backdoor businesses not banks! Well lesson well learnt NEVER DEAL WITH ABSA AGAIN
