My parents home had a break in on the 30/11/2016. I called into to Absa Insurance to put a claim as the main front door and gate was damagaed. I explained the urgency due to the safety of the occupants that this needed to be sorted out asap. I have made numerous calls and emails to follow up tos end out the assessor etc and then was told send through the private supplier quotes and this will be processed and paid. Due to non feedback from the consultant dealing with this, I ailed actiononline. the lady that dealt with this, Melanie, was rude and arrogant and advised me thta she is sending the file back to claim dept. To date the claim has not been paid. The service received from Absa Insurance is inexcusable. My parents have been clients with ABSA for as long as I can remember. Is this how you treat clients? IS their safety not important to you?

Dear Nthabiseng,
Sorry I missed your call.
The reason for my fustration is that my dad, Mr P Naidoo, passed away in June. When I called ABSA insurance therafter to change the banking details to my Mums, Mrs I Naidoo, no-one asked me for any docs. The premiums have since being going out of Mrs I Naidoo's account and now that she has a claim there is documentation required. And to get to this point I had to be continously calling in and sending emails. I have forwarded the required docs on Monday to Veli, the consultant, handling this and as usual no feedback and seems that Absa consultants do not have the professionalism of provding staff with any feedback unless continously asked and then getting your customer service dept involved and now hello peter. So I cannot understand how ABSA can deduct teh premiums from MRS I Naidoo with no questioning and now to pay her back a claim you need documention? Why was this not requested when I initially called in? IS this another delay tactic? I would assume the urgency of this matter(being security of the occupants) should have been escalated initially and not now that I have gone to hello peter and actionline. Quite frankly your consultants need to be more proactive in satisfying clients needs and giving them feedback without being having to pestered for a response. All I want to know now, when is this claim going to be paid, like mentioned, Veli the consultant was emailed the docs on Monday and it is now Wednesday and I have heard nothing from her. I await your feedback. Thank you.
