Disgruntled customer

I took a bond life cover with Absa Life as I have become a new home owner, I have a bond with Absa.. the sales agent called me around April offering the life cover, I took it as it made more sense to me to take a life cover with them since my bond is with them. I asked when will commencement date start, she assured me that it will start once everything with the bond has been finalised and I have moved into my new house. She advised in our call that I would receive an email with all documentation- which I did not. Sometime in May I received post from Absa Life which was documentation stating my cover. On the 27th of June 24 I was so shocked to see that Absa had debited my account for three months and not one month. I called them on the same day to find out why was I devoted for three months, the agent I spoke to told me that is due to my policy commencement date being the 1st of May 2024 and not in conjunction with the commencement date of my bond repayment date which was for the 1st of July - I explained to the agent that I was told the policy commencement date will be in conjunction with the bond commencement date, and I request a refund. She told me that she will escalate my case and request that commencement date be moved to June and not July meaning I will be eligible to be refunded one month - the two months I must pay as my debit order date falls after the commencement date - also this was NOT mentioned when their sales agent was selling the cover to me. It has been over 48hours I have not received any feedback regarding my query, I have tried calling them this morning and had been on hold for close to 30 minutes and still have not spoken to any agent. I am very disappointed with their service and highly frustrated as the extra money debited was not budgeted for, in this economy of ours.. every cent really counts. I am a single parent and need to prepare for schools reopening next week and money short due to Absa doing as they please in peoples accounts!!!
