Discussed with the situation
Dear Christopher,
We refer to your complaint forwarded to our office regarding the settlement amount on your AVAF account.
The complaint was referred to our AVAF Department, which confirmed that your vehicle sold on auction for R129 375 and had a remaining settlement value of R207 770.05. This information is specified in the attached section 127.
They provided us with a new settlement discounted amount of R83073.52, which should be paid by the close of business on 15/04/2024. Please provide me with proof of payment in order for me to expedite the request to have the account closed and brought up to date.
Should you not be able to pay the full settlement amount, kindly contact our Collections Department at ***to make the necessary payment arrangements for the full outstanding amount of R207 770.05, and request a new settlement amount when you are ready to settle.
Please reach out to me directly should you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter.
We extend our unconditional apology for the inconvenience caused as this is not aligned with Absa Bank's customer-centric service theme.
Trust that you find the above in order and confirm we are closing our file herein.
Regards,

ref:!00D1r01GluM.!5005q0ctFDQ:ref Resettlement Hello I am at present unemployed and I wont have R84000 by the 15th so that settlement is not going to work for me. Just to be clear as I know all business is to make a profit correct, I as an an individual will never auction anything for less than the price. To see that the vehicle was auctioned for less than half of the price is actually strange and I am surprised to see that. The reason I asked a 3rd party that is neutral is because of this exact situation.
