Discount for credit card settlement

A couple of 3 weeks ago i received a call from Newtons Inc. Attorneys, Conveyancers & Notaries advising that if settle my current outstanding credit card i would get a 50% discount. I agreed to pay up in 2 installments, half paid end of November and the balance before end of December but now since last week I've been getting calls and sms's from absa advising that my account has been handed over there i need to contact them to make payment arrangements which find pretty annoying because i have already paid the half that i promised and plan to pay the remaining next week. When i contacted the attorney's mentioned above they also told that absa had taken back the account hence they're contacting me. I will not be contacting absa for nothing because there is already a payment plan in place. absa should deal with the attorney and update their records because now it's as if i have not fulfilled my commitment. It is very upsetting to be getting calls everyday from different people and having to explain the same thing over and over. Kindly contact your lawyers and update your records accordingly.
