Disappointing Credit Card Application Experience with ABSA Bank

I recently app**** for a credit card with ABSA Bank and was impressed by the swift pre-approval process. However, the subsequent verification and finalization stages were marred by inefficiency.

*Initial Efficiency:*

- Pre-approval: Super efficient and easy - Approval: Received in minutes

*Verification Nightmare:*

- Repeated requests for same documents - Automated system with no human oversight - Generic responses promising telephone contact (never received) - Email inquiries met with automated replies

*Unsatisfactory Resolution:*

- Complaint filed with management - Generic apology without explanation - Claim of awaiting information from my bank (unbelievable 2-week delay)

*Concerns:*

- Lack of human involvement in verification - Inadequate communication - Over-reliance on automation

*Advice to Potential Customers:*

Be prepared for potential frustration after pre-approval. Ensure you have all documents readily available, and be prepared to follow up repeatedly.

Two weeks later and im still waiting. At this point i couldn't care less if they gave it to me or not!
