Did Absa Sell My Personal and Account Details
In the space of 2 weeks there were 2 attempts to de***** me where the individuals have various information of mine i.e. my full name, ID number and account number.
In the first instance I had to have my digital profile locked to which I had to go into the branch to reset my credentials.
I have contacted Absa via 2 mediums asking them how did these individuals get my information or more bluntly, who was my information sold to; to which I have received no confirmation to date.
It looks like they have clearly swept this matter under the carpet. If they sold my information, how many more customers details have been sold and more concerning how many have been de*****ed!!!

28 Oct 2021, 15:37Feedback: received feedback from Absa stating that although they admit information was leaked, I failed to provide sufficient evidence in this regard. Clearly a very reactive approach by this bank as they prefer to protect themselves by covering up their flaws and make it your problem in the event money goes missing.
