Denying an existing bond (which has never been defaulted)

We are very disappointed with Absa’s handling of our bond.
Four family members were title holders on the bond, my father very sadly passed away in 2014.

My late father has to be removed from the bond (article 54? if I'm not mistaken)?

We have had to since re-apply for a bond to prove affordability.

We have been dealing with a lady at the Blue Route branch, who has been very disorganised, uninformed, does not take any notes and is ***********.

We have submitted all the necessary documents TWICE, which shows more than enough monthly funds to repay the bond. Our accountant is in disbelief as to how long and complex this process has been.
We have never defaulted on our bond with ABSA.
On Monday afternoon I received an email that the bond application was declined, stating that there is no affordability? We provided earnings which show 4 times more than the bond repayments, how can this not be affordability (based on stress rate 12.50%)?

I have tried to call the ABSA consultant who we have been dealing with, left msgs and emails. I have not had a reply as of yet.

I am extremely dissapointed, I have been a loyal customer since I can remember.

We are now considering taking our business elsewhere and closing our accounts with ABSA (Bond, vehicle finance as well as bank accounts).

Hoping that this can be resolved.
