DENIED PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT

This is the first time in my entire life,I have come across a bank/ financial insititution that refuses a consumer a payment arrangement.I no longer am employed since February 2021, however I have started a business and have been gaining clients. I have not yet reached a point where my income is the same as my salary but I now have income (s). I requested to have my installment lowered until my income is at the same rate as my salary or higher but Ian Plaatjies merely advised "Please be advised that your monthly installment is R 8279,15 we cannot accept an arrangement for less than your monthly installment". No reasoning, no comprehensive explanation, not even a phone call to engage me as a client or to even discuss with me what the strategy of recovery is. I am the one that is requesting an arrangement which indicates my committment to keep paying for the property. I gather at this point Absa bank has no interest in my business or efforts ? Please advise.
