<p>Absa's depositor plus seems to be a good option for savings until the account goes below the required initial deposit. You need R15000 to open the account and R1000 to keep it open. No one tells you that you don't earn any interest if you go below the R15000, 0%, not less 0! Three months passed before I realized I wasn't earning a cent. It would have been nice if they had decided to notify me, "Dear Sir, bla bla bla below required amount to earn interest". I'm sure the response will be, "please see the fine print", thank you ABSA, lesson learnt!</p>
