DECEASED'S ESTATE DPT IS CLUELESS
Absa contacted me and my sister over a month ago to say that we must submit our late fathers (who passed away in 2019) estate late bank account, that we must email it to them because when he died he had 2 cars that were purchased through the bank and after his death they were taken back by the bank because he didn't have credit life on the cars and he was still owing them so the vehicles were sold at an auction and the insurance also settled the cars and when they called us they told us that we were to receive some left over change from the sale of those 2 cars which we didnt know about but nonetheless we sent the estate late bank details and were told that within 7 day we would receive the money, 7 days later we are told NO, theres documents outstanding hence we cant get the money, we must send Letter of Authority, certified ID copies of all parties as well as the deceaseds, his death certificate, proof of residence and the estate late bank details again, we did just that and was told that turnaround time is 7 days for their FICA department to get back to us after assessing the documents, we waited more than 7 days, when you call their lines are not going through and they take plus minus 4 days to respond to your query when you ask. After FICA we were told that our application was rejected because we didnt list the 2 vehicles on the Letter of Authority, that we must go to The Masters and get the letter amended and add the 2 vehicles on the letter....Now our question is how do we list vehicles that clearly belong to the bank on the Letter of authority?Isnt that *****?We dont have the vehicles or the car papers, the lady sent us the Natis docs, and it clearly states that the TITLE HOLDER IS ABSA, Masters will not list any assets on the Letter of Authority that do not belong to the deceased but ABSA is asking us to go add the cars...HOW?
