Debit order without agreement

<p>So ABSA decided this month to include their Insurance with my monthly Vehicle Finance with them....Without any agreement or notice. This amount of R1188 was included and just deducted from my account. On inquiry, they could not say why this happened and that their insurance was included. I had to phone 3 different departments, just to find a email where I could sent my proof of own insurance.</p> <p> </p> <p>I received an email yesterday stating "the turnaround time for cancellation was received and the refund will be done in 5 - 7 working days"</p> <p> </p> <p>How come they can take my money within a 24hour of debit order date for my Vehicle finance, but takes them 5-7 days to refund their mistake? I am currently unemployed due to retrenchments and need my funds to be in order. I had to make long phone calls to my insurer for latest proof of insurance. This was not my mistake, but i have to do all the work for them.</p> <p> </p> <p>if i did not follow up on this, ABSA would have ****** this money from me. So how many other people are being "****med" without noticing any sudden changes, say to debit orders to what ABSA just decide by them self to "ad-on" even the smallest amount</p>
