Debit order cancelled with no apparent reason

I found out that my Momentum Multiply membership has been cancelled due to my membership fees not being paid. since I signed for a debit order from my ABSA account, I contacted the call centre, who directed me to the Debitors department. This department simply told me that they do not know why my debit order was declined - the Debitors department! When I asked what the general reasons for declining a debit order could be they simply said that they do not know. After asking for more guidance they just told me that they only deal with unauthorised debit orders - which was exactly my concern, my debit order was not authorised. I was instructed to go ask my question at a local branch. So essentially ABSA's department that deals with debit concerns, have now instructed me to ask assistance from a local branch where a local clerk might have a better idea of what's going on that they do. Thanks for the assistance and great customer service, ABSA.
